The Part Of You That Never Left

Updated: Dec 12

The Part Of You That Never Left

You’ve changed. Yes. But not entirely!

There’s a part of you that never learned how to leave. Not the you shaped by names or titles or stories or whatever, but the quiet one, the one who watched it all unfold. That part doesn’t need healing. It doesn’t seek answers. It doesn’t grasp. It simply waits. Not with urgency, but with gentle presence.

You may forget it often. But it never forgets you. Never!

The Katha Upanishad says:

“Smaller than the smallest, greater than the greatest, the Self is hidden in the heart of every being.”

You don’t have to become it. You already are. You only need to remember.

beneath the ache,

beneath the name,

beneath even the breath,

there is a witness, still, unmoved, endlessly patient,

you have mistaken forgetting for absence, but it was always there,

waiting,

not to be found,

but to be felt.

Pause. Pause. Not to become someone, but to return to what was never gone.

You are not becoming whole. You are remembering you already are.

If something stirred within you, even softly, you're welcome to leave a trace in return.

A word. A pause. A presence.

No need to explain, just echo what moved.
